As one of the most recognizable names in the action camera (and now livestreaming) industry, GoPro’s HERO7 is another great installment in the vaulted franchise’s lineup of tiny, portable cameras for those looking to create content on the go. There are newer and more powerful options available; however, for the price, the 7 Silver edition is perfect for keeping the price down while maintaining the quality. Obviously, unlike a static camera like the HuddleCam, the HERO7 is for moving around — so the challenge for streamers comes in the connectivity. If you’re an action-person and don’t mind messing with WiFi and syncing through your phone, this is a great option. If you’re interested in how the GoPro7 stacks up against the GoPro8, we recently published a test comparing the stabilization capabilities of the two, you can check it out here.

The StreamCam Plus is about to be released. But for the time being, here is a list of other Logitech cameras to check out:
For a live stream of majestic flamingoes, Paignton Zoo is the place to be. They also have a monkey and a meerkat live stream.
A favorite of major corporations, musicians, YouTubers, and virtually anybody streaming to multiple people at once. Zoom’s Q2n 4K is a handy video and audio recording/streaming device that is one of the most affordable on the market. The Q2n 4K has a wide angle lens (160-degrees of coverage that records nice 4K-quality footage). It also features a built-in X/Y microphone that rivals any on the market — even above its price point. It may not be a rough-and-tumble action cam (like some of the ones below), but it certainly is a good offering with excellent sound recording at a price that’s hard to beat.
Targeting businesses looking for a solid conference call set-up, the HuddleCam could be a sneaky addition to any livestream session, regardless of use. The HuddleCamHD 3X (as its name implies) offers the expected 1080p recording and three-times zoom, but it really stands out for its plug-and-play potential. It has up to 74-degrees field of view (down to 36-degrees with the zoom) and a simple adjustable pan/tilt function that gives you plenty of flexibility in any static set-up.
So, the question to ask yourself is: Do I have a presence on any of the social media platforms these tools are connected to?
Head over to Atlanta Zoo's Panda Cam and you'll see plenty of the beautiful animals roaming freely. On their website, they say: "During a time when the COVID-19 epidemic is touching all of our lives, we're proud and glad that people around the world find joy in PandaCam."
From penguin, lion, meerkat and elephant cameras all over the world to badger, seal and barn owl live cams here in the UK, these are sure to put a smile on your face. Grab a cup of tea and make yourself comfortable...
