Peach and banana flavors shine through that makes this simple smoothie a favorite!! I did add 1 Tbsp of chia seeds at the end, let it sit for a couple minutes before sipping this delightfully fresh smoothie! (I used peaches I froze last summer.) I’ll make this one again and try it with avocado in place of the banana.
Gather all your ingredients together; cut your banana into small chunks, low-fat peach yogurt, orange juice, ripe peach, and ice cubes. If you want, you can also use frozen fruit; all you need do is to leave out the ice cubes. And if you don’t want to use yogurt, you can try almond milk or a little almond butter – both of them are excellent substitutes.
This smoothie was very creamy and great tasting. Fresh ginger is a great addition. I really liked it a lot.

Libby’s® Peach Slices in Fruit Juice: The peach slices work well in this smoothie because all the work is already done for you. I recommend using two cans for the recipe so you can have additional peach slices to top the smoothie bowl. Be sure to drain the peach slices well. This will keep your smoothie bowl from being too thin. You can also use Libby’s® Peach Halves in Fruit Juice. Another alternative is Libby’s® Peach Slices in Syrup, but do not add any honey as the syrup on the peaches will add more than enough extra sweetness to your smoothie bowl.
Protein: I made this smoothie bowl with multiple different types of protein including Greek yogurt, milk + extra ice, frozen milk (frozen in ice cube trays), and protein powder + a little water or juice from the can of peaches. All options work well. The version with yogurt (as written in the recipe card below) is the creamiest and stayed thicker for longer.
Mixing bananas and peaches is an awesome choice health-wise and every otherwise. The drink’s light flavors complement themselves perfectly. Taking this particular smoothie will keep you active throughout the day, and should you take it at night before going to bed, you wake with an incredible amount of energy to start the day.
This Peach Smoothie Bowl only has three main ingredients: one can of Libby’s® Peach Slices in Fruit Juice, one frozen banana, and your choice of protein. You can optionally add some honey for sweetness if needed. Then, top your smoothie bowl with whatever you love (and whatever you have in the pantry).
We feel you! There is nothing like fresh fruit if you have access to that. I would definitely recommend trying this again with fresh peaches and see how you like it 🙂
That’s totally ok, Tracy! You made what you have work for the smoothie and you’re still blending so that’s a win in our book!
