I can wholly empathise with this. I only managed to connect to two people but none of them were interested in getting to know me, let alone meet me. Thankfully, I used both times I'd planned to meet either of them to see other friends but it's the general time-wasting, apathy and disinterest that severely rue me. Why bother paying for what is generally a hefty subscription just to play games and string people along? One can do that outside.
This company only cares about collecting your money. They don't offer 1 month trials like other sites do, so you are forced to subscribe for 6 months minimum. After using it for 2 days I realized I hated it. But guess what, they refused to refund me and they couldn't care less that I wasn't happy. So basically they don't care if you like the app or not, if you used it for 2 days or 2 months, they will not refund you no matter what. Beware and st.
EHarmony has been awarded TRUSTe's Privacy Seal, ensuring compliance with all TRUSTe’s privacy policies The dating site uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and/or strong encryption (3DES) technology during credit card transactions, safeguards site data with administrative access requirements, and has other unspecified proprietary security measures to protect all member transactions and information. Additionally, the site uses a system called RelyID to verify the identities of its members.
This review is a mechanical description of how the site is designed. In reality, its pretty phony. After 6 months of using the site, I've found at least half of the promised matches had their profiles deleted by the site for violating their rules, and of the remainder, not a single one has had a conversation with me.
EHarmony is also fully mobile optimized and supported. There are apps for the iPhone, Android and iPad.
From my own experience on the site, and with the members with whom I was matched, we most definitely had many things in common and conversation was relatively easy.
Thus, getting started in eHarmony is relatively not breezy. You’ll have to work through profile questions that will be used to set up your profile. Your profile which will be visible to matches will be created with answers to these profile questions. Many of the questions at this stage are basic; such as questions about your ethnicity, occupation, income level, and education level. However, you’ll also find some thought-provoking questions like “What are three things you are thankful for”.
I am working my through college later in life, as the luxury is now becoming available to me. I hang out with lawyers, doctors, engineers, and have never dated someone without an education. I’m bright, hence the people I associate with. After a nearly three year dry spell I tried looking into eHarmony. I didn’t think they would say I only match the lowest bar on their site, such as construction workers. The language was so bad. So so bad. I didn’t want any of them to say hello, which probably wouldn’t have been spell checked and said hello. They were utterly sexist giving male and female roles to a relationship (of which apparently I fill both). Also, when living in a major metropolitan area, and not even 35 yet, only having 45 bad matches on the entire site. Yea. I canceled before giving them cc. At least I saved myself that hassle.
In our opinion, no system works perfectly, so despite the best efforts of eHarmony, it will not be surprising to find that some of their profiles are of members that have long gone inactive.
However, we’ll add that since long term commitments should not be rushed into when using the platform, you should hope to find love, and not find love quickly. If it does come quickly, fine and good; but if it takes a while, the little patience may be worth it at the end of it all. That said; you may not find joy in eHarmony if you are not the patient fellow. However, as their success stories prove, “Slow and steady wins the race” rings true with eHarmony.
In our opinion, there is a valid point in the argument against eHarmony’s scientific method. Why not produce the evidence that the matching system is scientific? Also, supported by eHarmony could point to their lengthy compatibility quiz which is used in determining the compatibility ratings. However, nowadays, the quiz is optional. Many members no longer take them.
Thus, the eHarmony Compatibility Matching System ® entail using its 150 compatibility questions to know how each member rates on the 29 Dimension of Compatibility; and then sending you matches that are best suited to you.
Company business strategy is to charge money from clients, period. They are not focused to improve the app (and they really need it) or make it really the app to meet people. For now it's the app with wrong advertisement to take money from people. Sad to see such a business strategy. Hope they change and it wont last too long.... This review is for potential users, it costs a lot but actually works worse than free apps, read carefully all reviews before subscribing.

If you are looking for a long-term relationship, then "eHarmony" with their in-depth matching system is the ideal dating service. It goes beyond simple matching and takes your personality into account.
EHarmony’s method of assisting you is slightly more guided than Match.com’s. They take pride in the many life-long relationships created through their site and do constant research on what factors go into making relationships work. This makes their platform more expensive and laborious to begin, though, which can be a turnoff to many users. eHarmony has been around since 2000 and was founded by Dr. Neil Warren, who still serves on the advisory board for the site.
Eharmony has over 10 million active users and over 750,000 paid subscribers, making it one of the most popular dating sites around.
